The Challenge
Travis Horton Homes builds luxury custom homes in the Yukon, Oklahoma area. Their clients expect quality in every detail, including technology. But they faced a common problem: most smart home solutions either required expensive professional installers with ongoing contracts, or resulted in a hodgepodge of incompatible devices.
They needed a partner who could design and install a comprehensive smart home foundation that would work reliably for years, without locking homeowners into monthly subscriptions or dependent on cloud services that might disappear.
Our Solution
We designed and installed a smart home foundation built on open-source technology and local control. Every component was chosen for reliability, local operation, and zero ongoing costs to the homeowner.
The system includes enterprise-grade networking, automated lighting, smart irrigation, water leak protection with automatic shutoff, and secure smart locks — all managed through a central Home Assistant server that runs entirely on the local network.
